Whether you’re preparing to graduate from high school, wrapping up a general equivalency diploma, or working toward your undergraduate or graduate degree, the Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation is proud to partner with passionate donors to administer a wide variety of competitive scholarships to help you achieve your educational goals.

|Harry Lee Scholarship||Awarded to an Alcester senior based on financial need and interest in pharmacy, medicine, nursing, laboratory science, chemistry, physics, or other sciences.||$500||March 15||Apply|
|Herman and LaVerne Griller Scholarship||Applicants must be graduating seniors of an accredited high school in Minnehaha, Lincoln, Turner, or McCook County who plan to attend an accredited college or university and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applicants must also demonstrate financial need.||$4,500||March 15||Apply|
|Hopps Dow Scholarship||This scholarship benefits graduating seniors of Groton High School who plan to attend an accredited college, university, or vocational school in South Dakota. To be eligible, applicants must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher, demonstrate financial need, and have the desire and ability to succeed in their chosen field of study.||$3,000||April 11||Apply|
|Hovik Family Scholarship||To be eligible for this award, applicants must be graduating high school seniors who live in Lincoln County, South Dakota, and are members of the Lutheran faith with plans to attend accredited four-year colleges or universities that are affiliated with the Lutheran church. Applicants must also demonstrate financial need and have the ability to achieve academic success.||$1,000||March 15||Apply|
|Independent Insurance Agents of Sioux Falls Scholarship||Successful applicants for this award must be graduating seniors of Sioux Falls public or private high schools who plan to attend a South Dakota college, university, or vocational or technical school. Applicants must also demonstrate financial need, which is the key factor in selecting a winner for this award. Additional criteria includes a GPA of 3.0 or higher and an ability to succeed in a chosen field of study.||$1,000||March 15||Apply|
|James and Bernice Kopperud Scholarship||This award benefits graduating seniors of Lincoln High School in Sioux Falls who plan to attend a four-year accredited college or university. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, demonstrate financial need, and have the desire and ability to succeed in his or her chosen field of study.||$5,000||March 15||Apply|
|James Stenholtz Scholarship||This scholarship goes to a graduating senior of Lincoln Senior High School who plans to attend an accredited college, university, or vocational or technical school. Eligible applicants must also demonstrate financial need and have participated in extra-curricular and community activities.||$750||March 15||Apply|
|Jeremy Baum “Hope” Scholarship||Applicants must be a graduate or a graduating senior of a Dell Rapids high school or a person who has earned a GED or equivalent and resides in Dell Rapids. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and plan to attend an accredited college, university, or vocational or technical school.||$3,250||March 15||Apply|
|Jerry Hoftiezer Memorial Scholarship||This scholarship benefits graduating seniors of Dell Rapids High School who plan to attend a four-year college or university and are involved in school and community activities. Special consideration is given to students who maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale and who have taken five math courses, including A.P. Calculus. Applicants are not required to pursue a math-related college major to be eligible for this scholarship.||$2,250||March 15||Apply|
|Jim and Fran Foss Scholarship||Applicants must be graduating seniors of a Sioux Falls public high school who plan to attend an accredited college or university. Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA or higher and demonstrate financial need. In addition, applicants must have completed their FAFSA and received their Student Aid Report before applying.||$5,000||March 15||Apply|
