In addition, your endowment will have the added visibility of being part of the Community Foundation’s family of funds.

A Permanent Source of Financial Support

An endowment provides a permanent source of financial support for your organization. The Community Foundation’s endowment formula features distributions of up to 5% from the fund’s average balance, distributed annually.

From an investment management standpoint, our goal for organizational endowments is to help our nonprofit partners earn the spending rate while preserving the principal. 

Establishing a Fund 

Organizational Endowments may be opened with an initial gift of $15,000. A minimal administrative fee of 0.75% of the fund’s balance is charged annually. (Administrative fee decreases for balances greater than $1 million.)

The Community Foundation can facilitate even the most complex planned gifts, gifts of appreciated stock and real estate.
