Empire Mental Health Support

Empire Mental Health Support

We prepare people for their journey to mental wellness through peer‑led support, training, and community connections in the Sioux Falls region. Empire Mental Health Support provides peer‑led training and direct support to help adults and families in the Sioux Falls region navigate mental health and recovery.

Empire Mental Health Support has operated from the same location for more than four years, yet many community members still struggle to find our office. Because we prioritize directing our funds toward free support groups, education programs and community outreach, we can't budget for this item. A one-sided sign costs $425. Ideally, we would like signage from both sides. A modest investment in signage would significantly reduce confusion, improve accessibility and ensure that individuals seeking mental health support can find us quickly and without added stress.

American Red Cross

American Red Cross

The American Red Cross serving Sioux Falls prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies. We support people affected by disasters; supply about 40% of the nation’s blood; teach skills that save lives; distribute international humanitarian aid; and support veterans, military members and their families.

Every day, home fires strike without warning. In the last three years, the Red Cross in Sioux Falls has helped over 260 people and provided more than $70,000 in financial aid. To support those affected, the Red Cross helps families and communities prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters. Local disaster relief funds enable the Red Cross to offer critical relief and recovery services and provide lifesaving preparedness tools and information. A $200 gift provides a full day of food and shelter for a family of four, while $680 offers financial assistance to a family impacted by a local disaster.

ICAP

Inter-Lakes Community Action Partnership

Inter-Lakes Community Action Partnership, Inc. (ICAP) is a community based nonprofit organization which serves primarily low-income families and senior citizens. Our vision is to have sustainable communities where children, families and individuals reach their full potential.

ICAP’s housing programs provide essential stability for families experiencing homelessness, but their success depends on strong community support. While ICAP works with local landlords and provides intensive case management, families often enter the program with limited belongings and significant barriers. A gift of $1,500 helps one family settle safely into permanent housing and work toward independence. This shared commitment strengthens families, reduces homelessness and builds a healthier, more resilient community for everyone.
